Kano Resident Protest Over Selecting Sanusi As New Emir By State Government

Sunday, June 8, 2014

Reports have it that some residents of Kano state have taken to the streets to protest the announcement of Nigeria's former Central Bank Governor, Lamido Sanusi Lamido as the new Emir of Kano.
The protest started at the Kofar Kudu area, near the Emir’s palace when residents of the neighbouring streets trooped out to the palace area in opposition to the choice.
Tyres were set on fire and few roads blocked as they shouted, "Ba muso, ba muso’’, meaning, "we don’t want, we don’t want" in apparent reference to the choice of Sanusi by the state government.

Security forces have however been mobilised to disperse the crowd.

The immediate past Governor of Nigeria’s Central Bank, Lamido Sanusi has been named as the new emir of the powerful Kano emirate to succeed late Ado Bayero. His appointment was announced not too long ago by the Secretary to the Kano State Government. Big congrats

Photo:Nadia Buari $ Jim Iyke Back Together

It seems Emma Agu’s many leaked letters to bloggers can’t break this couple, and neither can Keturah, Jim Iyke’s ex break their relationship either. Jim and Nadia had serious misunderstanding weeks back and Nadia walked out of the relationship, especially with the whole Emma Agu drama calling Jim out and also posting his recorded phone conversations with him online. It was very messy, but I guess Nadia loves her man, and came to his defence to save the situation.

Emma proved it beyond every reasonable doubt that the two were no more, but one way or the other; Nadia saved the situation by coming back. And yes they actually broke up. Jim Iyke’s publicist confirmed it when he said there was no relationship without an issue. We are happy Nadia saved the situation. Btw, it was still Nadia that posted these photos online today of the two love birds.
